We've Been Invaded!

Finally at 2 am She went to bed! She was snoring in a matter of minutes. When She snores loud we stay in the living room. Shortly after She started snoring there was a lot of noise outside the big window that slides to open and there was a jolly little man all dressed in red carrying a big sack. One minute he was outside the window and next minute he was inside. Ladybug booked for the bedroom but I hid under the loveseat and watched. He pulled two packages out and put them under the Christmas tree. Then he vanished into thin air.
Of Course I had to check out the packages and make sure they were okay. They smelled heavenly so I pulled the paper off them and found toys! Catnip Toys in pink and blue. Well She was asleep so first I tried hollering but She has learned to ignore that. So I drug the packages in on the bed so She could wake up and open them for me. That didn't work either so I fell asleep on the package of pink toys and figured I would wait for Her to wake up and open the package for me.

At some point during the night Ladybug stole the blue package and took it back into the living room and curled up with it on the loveseat. When She finally woke up I was still sleeping on the pink toys and Ladybug was still sleeping on the blue toys. She opened both of the packages and I immediately claimed both of the big catnip mouses. But then Ladybug claimed both the little catnip mouses so I guess that's only fair. I have spent the entire day playing with my new babies and once in a while I try to sneak the 2 that Ladybug claimed but she keeps whomping me for looking at them. Oh well I guess I'll just have to wait until Ladybug is sleeping and then hide them from her.

OMG I forgot to tell Her about the little fat man who appeared in the apartment and then disappeared. She isn't going to be happy when She finds out that someone can get into the apartment without a key and even with Her bars in the window tracks! Maybe I shouldn't even mention him at all. What She doesn't know can't hurt her...At least I think he can't!

Christmas in our new home

This is the Christmas Tree She put up in our new home. We got put into boxes and we went in the mobile box for many days and then finally she took our boxes out of the mobile box for the last time. I complained the entire way everyday until she finally stopped the mobile box and finally put our boxes into a smaller version of the house we left behind. Only this house is clean and doesn't have much furniture in it. But the tree the kittens played in all last Christmas was brought out of the box the day after Thanksgiving and She started putting ornaments and pretties on the tree. Ladybug and I camp under the tree every day as much as we can. We get all excited when people outside notice us under the tree and get even more excited when they get excited too!

Our new home is very peaceful and there are no loud noises or feet stomping around. We have food and water in the kitchen and our toilet is in the bathroom with Her toilet. It gets cleaned everyday and never gets as messed up as the ones where we used to live did. There isn't much furniture but we have our very own side of the bed and She even found us a purple quilt to sleep on which we both love very much. I have managed to sneak out of the apartment and down the hall a few times. It doesn't lead to the outside though. The first time I ended up in a strange apartment that didn't look or smell like our home and the second time I got all the way to a great big room with a great big Christmas Tree and lots of sofas and chairs to hide under. But there was a lot of people there and I got scared. After many of the people left someone finally rescued me from under the sofa and gave me to Her and She took me back to our house. Now I go near the door but I don't go out anymore.

Ladybug and I love our new place and we are all very happy here. We watch tv during the day and we sleep with Her at night and we couldn't ask for a better life. Sometimes I miss the young ones but not for long. I know they all got their forever homes and even though I don't have them to play with anymore this home is just the right size for Her and the two of us. Sometimes we talk on the phone with Conundrum and JR but they live back in the city we all used to live with. They stayed with the man that came and went and they live in an apartment that is really high and they can see all the way to the big park downtown. But we live by a big lake and get to see real fish a lot. Next year when it is summer She is going to take us for walks to the lake and let us see where the fish live. She is always happy here and I hope we stay here where She is always happy because when She is happy we are happy! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Big changes here

Things are really changing around here. She is putting everything in boxes and the boxes are disappearing. Then a couple of days ago the September cats were loaded up into carriers and put in the mobile box and the carriers came back empty. Then yesterday Mom and I were put into the box and taken to a place to meet a nice man and first he poked us with something in a place you don't want to know about. Then he poked us with a couple of sharp things. Now we have these strange tags hanging on our collars and we don't feel quite ourselves right now. Mom and I are going to live in a small apartment in a senior center with the man that comes and goes from the house. The Siamese are going to live with Her after they travel for a long time in the mobile box. Mom and I are glad we don't have to travel in the mobile box for very long. She misses the other cats but She says they are all in their forever homes now.

Everyday She gets up and puts more stuff into boxes and the boxes go away. Everyday She finds more of the hiding places that we all had for our toys and treasures. Mom and I have a bet going with the Siamese for how many more days She will have to continue putting things in boxes before the house will be empty. Everyday She gets a little further but everything is covered with our fur and She has been having a lot of problems breathing. Now She has to wear these funny things over her mouth and nose while She cleans out the house.

Ladybug got to go outside for the very first time in her life a couple days ago. The doors were all open and people were moving furniture in and out and Ladybug sat for a long time just inside of the door. Then She carefully put her front two paws outside. After she stayed like that for several minutes she finally came out on the porch and sat for awhile. When she didn't get yelled at for being outside she started to carefully move off the porch. If someone went near her she ran back into the house. After several scares she finally got brave enough to start exploring the outside. Ladybug found the salad that grows from under the neighbors fence. she found the tall grass it is so much fun to hide in. Ladybug finally got brave enough to come with me and Mom while we went to visit the neighboring Siamese at the back glass doors on their deck. Ladybug enjoyed the going outside so much that She couldn't get her into the house for the night. But She is very smart and She left the back door open just a bit and went to the front of the house. When Ladybug came up to the front of the house She had someone quietly close the back door so Ladybug couldn't go out again. But then the next day She told Ladybug she could come and go as long as she came back at dark. So now Ladybug can go out if she wants to but she doesn't always want to now.

Well that's about all I have time for. She is getting up to put more things in boxes and none of us want Her to catch us on the computer. She doesn't know we can type!

The redecorating of the dining room

She couldn't find the paper towels last night so pop got them down from on top of the fridge and we redecorated the dining room to show her we had found them for her. When She woke up and came out to the dining room She laughed at what we had done. She is awfully nice to us.

This is all of us inspecting the groceries to make sure that any meats are good and nothing is poisoned. If She doesn't get them put away fast enough we even sample the goods right through the plastic wrappers!

And this is what it looks like when She tries to sleep. We all gather around her so she can't move or get out of the bed. We don't like to sleep alone either you know!

Meowflalope Have Been busy!

When She put all these beautiful tops on the bed to take pictures we wanted to help as much as possible...but when she tryed taking them off we let her know we didn't want them off. The only ones who didn't help stop the folding were the Siamese!
Two in a basket is just right!

It doesn't matter which basket it is!
But this is what usually happens now! There are just too many cats in this little tiny house. And it seems the bigger we all get the smaller the house gets! She has been trying to find forever homes for all the kittens but so far have only managed to find one kitten a home.
Yesterday She made this and got very upset when we all wanted to help her eat it! It is just so yummy looking we didn't want to be left out. And the white filling is to die for! It's made out of whipped cream with powdered sugar mixed in. But now she keeps the cake in the fridge! How are we supposed to sneak bites if its closed up into the fridge? Just you wait I am going to figure this out soon and then the cake is mine!

More pretty things to lay on!

She has made more pretty things and we climb on them when she lays them out to take photos and we don't get off them. We lay on them on the sewing machine while she trys to sew them and we lay on them while she is trying to press them at the ironing board. We are so lucky to have such a tallented human to live with!
We do our best to help choose the borders for these pretty pretties.
The more of us that lay on the top the better we show we like it but the things She makes are so pretty we like all of them.
We really like this one too but we like the fact that 3 are stacked on the bed because we haven't let her fold up and put away all the tops she finished today.

Last night because there wasn't any pretty pretties on the bed to lay on we had to settle for the window seats and the computer chair! Well we hope She keeps sewing and adding more pretties to the bed for us to lay on because the window and chair are boring!

She has been sick but making the most woderful things!

She was so sick last week She was having a lot of trouble breathing. So She took her box of fluffy white squares She blows her nose on to the sewing machine and finally put all these kitties together as a quilt top. We all helped her by biting the thread as it was moving through the machine and trying to catch the metal parts that go up and down. And we chased the empty bobbins when they ran out of thread and she took them out and put a full one in. I managed to hide one from her that she hasn't found yet!
Then She started piecing this bright quilt top. I stayed right on top of this one I don't want it getting away. When She put in on her bed to take a picture I jumped right up and claimed it as mine. But so did some of the other cats. Once She gets it quilted I don't know how I am going to keep everyone off my quilt!

During the day while She sits at the sewing machine Papa and Rockette sleep in the computer chair. Once Rocky Junior joined them but She had the camera taking pictures of quilt blocks so I couldn't get all 3 Rocky's in the same picture. Its getting kind of difficult to tell Rocky Senior(Papa) and Rocky Junior(Jr) apart now that we are full sized cats. I have my white socks to make it easy to tell me apart and Rockette will always be tiny like Mama.
She wrapped a fluffy blanket around the back of the fish tank so we could lay down and watch the fishies swim around their tank. There is finally room for me so I am going to go take up my space before someone else gets the same idea. Will post again real soon.

Happy 2011!

These are the 3 little girls that are left here now that Midnight found a forever home. She listed them on Petfinders and some family came and visited. They were here for awhile and we all played with them and then they took Midnight home with them. We all hope they let her sleep with someone because she has always slept with Her since she got big enough to climb up the side of the bed. None of these guys has ever slept alone so we really hope she is let to sleep with people otherwise she won't be very happy at her new home.
She is heart broken that she has to let the little ones go and She has even said that if she can find us big sister and brothers a good home she would let us go too. If we went who would keep up this blog? Although I have seen L E Oot eyeing the keyboard longingly. But he is an old man...he even has gray hairs around his eyes of late. Of course it may be that us kittens gave him each of those gray hairs! Anyway only time will tell what will happen with all of us over the next few months but I will try to keep you posted.
